 MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW

An unputdownable cozy clean romance novel with a warm ending, It's a new beginning for Laurie Ellis as she is moving with her cute loving dog Max to a promising location in Starr's Fall which is a wonderful something happening to her this fall - As the leaves are falling, with a crispness to the air, along with the scents of coffee and pumpkin spice, past a half-empty street of shuttered storefronts and a bandstand that has seen better days…loved the author description of the place and atmosphere this way.

Laurie thought moving to Starr's Fall was actually having her own home ultimately that was magical and a miracle, leaving her depressing apartment she had been living with her foster Mom Nadine was something she was looking forward to. She was a foster kid to who had adoptive parents. Her plan to move as to open a pet store and bakery in Starr's Fall which the community friends found a bit strange. Why did she choose Starr's Fall as her home? I don't want to give away much of the story here and spoil the review. On her way to Starr's Fall, Anni Layman becomes her friend who helps her get to this place and welcomes her whole heartedly.

Laurie Soon becomes attracted to Joshua Reilly and shares her family stories and starts to date each other. Joshua is owner of a book store at Starr's Fall and is taking care of his aunt's cat, Lea. While the romantic tension is building up between them Laurie is looking for her biological mother who gave her up for adoption when she was born and gives Laurie Starr's Fall as the place of her residence which leads her to come home to Starr's Fall looking for her own mother.

Joshua's book store and Laurie's date days with Joshua brings this novel to a delightful ending that the readers are waiting for.

Book Description

A totally gorgeous, brand new romance from million-copy bestselling author, Kate Hewitt! Welcome to the town of Starr’s Fall, where Autumn can feel like it goes on forever, and two people have a chance to fall in love…

The leaves are falling, with a crispness to the air, along with the scents of coffee and pumpkin spice, past a half-empty street of shuttered storefronts and a bandstand that has seen better days…

Just like the whole town of Starr’s Fall, thinks Laurie Ellis – as she and her beloved dog Max head to collect the store keys. Maybe she has seen better days, too, but she’s certainly ready for a new start―and to leave her past behind. Still Laurie wonders whether she made a terrible mistake in coming to lovable but shabby Starr’s Fall. Will she even find customers for her pet store and bakery, never mind a community to welcome and accept her?

Not according to Joshua Reilly, the handsome but grumpy manager of the bookstore across the road, who claims he’s never heard of anything so ridiculous as a bakery for dogs.

But Laurie remains stubbornly undeterred. She’s starting over, right here. Not least because she has another secret reason for being here… one she isn’t telling anybody, at least not yet, as it involves her own tragic past.

What she doesn’t yet know is that a clue to the mystery is hidden deep in Joshua’s bookstore. And he doesn’t yet realize that Laurie herself might be the key to mending his own battered heart… for Laurie and Joshua and the whole town, it’s going to be a fall to remember.

MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW In this historical novel, Jacob Mueller was a first-generation American born in New Berlin to parents full of German Descent. His parents embraced their German heritage even after they moved to America. They found a better life in the United States of America. Jacob's father's family name was - Mattias Wendel Mueller in 1898. Jacob was born to Elisabet and Hyrum when New Berlin changed its name to North Canton after the First World War, during the time when Anti-German Sentiment was high. Later, Jacob changed his name to Jacob Miller when Hitler and the Nazi party began their cruel reign, he wanted to hide his heritage. He wanted no one to know his views about Nazis, Nazi Harboring or assuming he associated with Nazi sympathizers. There was more to living in the united states while Jacob's mother thought that was all it was needed to prove her allegiance. Whereas, Jacob understood that the American government could arrest or deport those not born in t

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW This novel which is set in West Los Angeles begins with Gloria Millhouse, a beautiful and intelligent law student who has been working on a project for innocent- for those who have been convicted and imprisoned for a wrong that they have not done. Gloria believed that Carl Forbes an African American boy who had been in prison for twenty-three years was innocent and it was her dream to set him free. Carl was arrested and tortured by the officers when he was seventeen years old and was coerced to confess the brutal murder of Shelley Goldstein.  The novel's plot changes as Gloria goes missing and is found dead in a car accident. After someone breaks into her car and steals her briefcase containing her notes and interviews the night she went missing. She was upset and devastated over the theft and was on her way to her father Keith's house in Malibu the night she died. The mayor and Gloria's father brought Jack Ber

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW R.G. Belsky's "Broadcast Blues" thrusts readers into the relentless world of TV newswoman Clare Carlson, where the line between journalism and justice becomes blurred in the pursuit of a high-profile crime. Set against the backdrop of New York City's bustling crime scene, Belsky weaves a riveting tale that combines investigative journalism with a thirst for truth and justice. The narrative kicks off with a bang – quite literally – when an explosive takes the life of Wendy Kyle, a former NYPD officer with a tumultuous past. Clare Carlson, with her finger firmly on the pulse of the city's crime, sees the potential for a major scoop in the tragedy. However, it becomes clear that for Clare, this is not just about the sensational story; it's a personal quest for justice for the victim. Wendy Kyle's controversial history adds layers of complexity to the case. From her dismissal from the NYPD following sexual harassment allegations a
