Book Review #Her Last Lie # J.S. Lark #Publisher ‏ : ‎ Bloodhound Books #Crime, Thrillers & Mysteries #Book Tour

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW  This novel is very suspenseful and has a setting taking place in England as the mystery unfolds from the first page. When the Cumbria constabulary found the naked body of a young man on the east shore of Lowerdale Lake in the early hours of the morning, the English teacher, Jennifer Easton  on her way to school  did not in her wildest dream know it would be her son Eli Penne's body lying there in the lake. It came as a shock to Jen, that her 15-year-old teenage son is no more. Why would Eli go to the south end of the lake which is far away from the village?.  Jen had another son named Jordan and was divorced from her ex-husband Andre being a single mother she was quite guilty of being a bad mom and irresponsible for what happened with Eli. I was taken by surprise by how Jennifer's sexuality and character of getting attracted to other women had an impact on her married life with Andre and her motherhood. Later I could come to terms wi...

#Book Tour #Love is an Art by Kathy Strobos #Publisher ‏ : ‎ Strawbundle Publishing #Book Review #Romance Comedy

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW "Love is an Art" by Kathy Strobos presents a delightful romantic comedy that cleverly intertwines mistaken identities, deception, and the unpredictable whims of love. Tessa finds herself entangled in a situation where she must pose as an artist while investigating a scam that defrauded her friend. However, the complication arises when she encounters Zeke, a charming man who despises lawyers, the very profession Tessa is pretending not to belong to. Their initial connection sizzles with chemistry, but Tessa's fabricated identity threatens to unravel their budding relationship. The humor and tension mount as Zeke notices Tessa's lack of artistic talent, casting doubts about her honesty. Despite the deception, their interactions are filled with laughter and adventures, contrasting starkly with Zeke's past experience with a workaholic lawyer ex-girlfriend. As their relationship deepens, both Tessa and Zeke grapple with trust issues stemmin...

Book Review #Dead By Proxy #Manning Wolfe #Legal Thriller #Publisher: Starpath Books, LLC #Suspense # Book Tour

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW Wow...Manning Wolfe has pulled off a compelling legal thriller in her debut novel Dead by Proxy.  As dead as a dumbbell,  Byron, after the trial and murder of his co-counsel Michel and Tyrone his client, a successful lawyer is forced to run from his enemies and the law firm he worked for in New York to Houston faking his death and then disguise himself as Byron Douglas the lawyer to Clark Kinsey and then Quinton who becomes a trial lawyer again.  I loved this novel, being a professional of law myself and coming from a legal background I enjoyed reading the courtroom scenes and the legal jargon associated with the case. I could identify the dangerous situations a heroic criminal defense lawyer like Byron is facing when fighting for justice for his client Tyrone and the cunning Irish mob who plays the villain trying to gun him down and kill him if he goes to the FBI and rats out the Cartel.  Not only there is tensed courtroom drama an...
