BOOK ON TOUR #BOOK REVIEW # A NOBLE CUNNING BY PATRICIA BERNSTEIN #HISTORICAL FICTION/CHRISTIAN #HISTORY THROUGH FICTION PUBLISHERS

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW  The Countess of Clarencefield, Bethan Glentaggart, a Catholic living among the pagans of Protestantism, is the subject of the book. Even when the thugs of London tried to raid her Heath Hall house one night in search of priests hiding in the building, she was forbidden from displaying any signs of fear or weakness. When William of Orange invaded England, she and her family fled to France, and Lucy became their closest friend. She was married to Gavin, the Earl of Clarencefield and Baron Cleughbrae, who was also a Catholic.  It appeared unavoidable that the Church of England and Catholics would go to war. The Jacobite Rebellion began in 1715 as a result of the death of Queen Anne and the following coronation of King George of Hanover, the first and only German-born monarch of England.  Gavin immediately left Heath Hall to join his fellow citizens in the fight for Catholics' right to practice their religion freely and to remove George of Hanover...

Book Tour #Book Review #Covert in Cairo: A BRAND NEW cozy murder mystery from Kelly Oliver for 2023 (A Fiona Figg & Kitty Lane Mystery Book 2)#Publisher ‏ : ‎ Boldwood Books #Women's Adventure Fiction

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW Both Fiona and Miss Kitty Lane are employed by British intelligence. They have been sent on a mission to defend the Suez Canal from any evil schemes that Fredrick Fredricks may be hatching. German spy Frederick Fredericks is well-known for being a jerk. This book features a fugitive murderer, a kidnapping, suspects, a horrible crime, spy, fashion, adventure, and murder investigation. My interest in identifying the criminal was piqued by the novel's missing agent, Dankworth, and the murder of Monsieur Jean Baptiste Lorraine, the archaeologist.  Agent Dankworth and Jean Baptiste were collaborating to infiltrate an illicit antiquities network.  The connections between the many incidents give this mystery a fantastic narrative. A nice, interesting, and enjoyable book for fans of mysteries. I adored the characters and the exciting plot. There are numerous events that are referenced in and around Cairo, the capital of Egypt. I appreciate receiving ...

MY THOUGHTS AND BOOK REVIEW 1922:   Iris Woodmore, a former newspaper reporter for the Warden Herald, quit her job abruptly and later returned to Walden to work with her supervisor Elijah. When it is revealed that the Basingstoke canal would be closed, Iris just so happens to be at the Owner of Foods empire Constance Timpson's speech event, that canal used to transport their goods. While there, she also chances to witness an assassination attempt. They later discovered Rosie's body at the Carnival Bridge, one of Constance's employees, lying on the floor of their cabin. Constance intended to bring about improvements in all of her factories, including no child labor, equal pay, and no firing of women for getting married. Constance is also lending her support to Mrs. Siddons' electoral campaign. Iris wants to provide a report on Timpson's efforts. She also prefers that the Walden Herald be the first to report the terrible deaths of Rosie and the sniper. They enjoy assi...
